QUEZON CITY, August 16 (PIA) -- Are you a photo enthusiast who wants to experience a ride with our top gun pilots? Then this is your chance, as the Armed Forces of the Philippines is inviting young and old photo enthusiasts to join in the photo contest anchored on the theme: “Why I continue to trust the Filipino soldier.”
Contestants are entitled to one photo entry in full color or in black and white; size: 8x10 inches (8R); resolution: 300 (PPI) pixels per inch; and in JPEG format.
Photo concepts should be wholesome and creative featuring the positive sides of the AFP (i.e. soldiers, military objects, places or scenery). Enhanced and altered photo entries will be automatically disqualified.
All entries must not be previously submitted or used in other photo competition or subject to copyright issues.

The criteria for judging will be based on creativity at 40 percent; relevance to the theme at 30 percent; photo quality at 20 percent; and Facebook fans choice at 10 percent.
Email your photo entries in JPEG format with a short description, together with your full name and address (MS Word format) to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , with the subject: AFP Photo Contest Entry by: (your name) on or before September 9, 2011.
Likewise, all photo entries will be featured in the AFP Facebook Fan Page and official website at www.afp.mil.ph.
