QUEZON CITY, July 25 (PIA) -- Hundreds of soldiers and policemen gathered at EDSA People Power Monument yesterday to join the 20-km caravan dubbed as “Bike for Peace” in an effort to promote peace, security, and development in the country.
Armed Forces chief General Eduardo SL Oban Jr. said that the AFP together with the PNP and other stakeholders will continue to exhaust all means to promote peace and stability in the country.
Oban, together with members of the AFP, linked up with Philippine National Police chief Director General Raul M. Bacalzo for this event. AFP and PNP bikers began their 20-km caravan at the Philippine International Convention Center grounds in Manila, up to EDSA People Power Monument in Ortigas, Pasig City, and ended at the PNP Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
The activity was also in line with the PNP’s celebration of the Community Relations Month in July. (AFP/RJB/JEG-PIA NCR)
