In a proactive move following the recent announcement by the City Mayor Mauricio G. Domogan that the Office of the President has released funds needed for the development of the decommissioned dumpsite at Irisan into an eco-park, the Honorable City Vice Mayor Daniel T. Farinas has filed a proposed resolution with the City Council recommending that the City invite interested contractors to partner with the City in the closure of the Irisan Dumpsite and the rehabilitation of the area.

City rallies citizens to show colors

BAGUIO CITY – the city government here is encouraging residents here specially businessmen to display the Philippine flag within their establishments come May 28 to June 12.

City Mayor Mauricio Domogan requested the display of the flag in celebration of the National Flag Day on May 28 and Independence Day on June 12.

Mayor bares plan for city’s sports complex

BAGUIO CITY – City Mayor Mauricio Domogan barred Wednesday (May 16), plans of the city government in owning a state of the art sports facility here through a Private Public Partnership (PPP) agreement.

The sports facility, envisioned to be the permanent home of local athletes would entail developing the city’s athletic bowl into a world class sports complex.

SOCOB judges barred

BAGUIO CITY – the search for the Outstanding Citizens of Baguio (SOCOB) is in full swing once again in this mountain resort.

City Mayor Mauricio Domogan formally signed Administrative Order No. 60 series of 2012 last May 16 creating the judging committee for the annual search.

In his AO, the mayor tasked Dr. Priscilla Macasantos as chairperson for the judging committee who is also an outstanding citizen awardee in 2003.
