LAGAWE, Ifugao- Advocating the improvement of women’s health and to uphold freedom of informed choice, the Provincial Chief Executive here openly supports the Reproductive Health Program of the government.
Speaking to male participants in the just concluded Second Provincial Paternal Assembly, Governor Teddy Baguilat Jr said that the males should assist in promoting RH in the community.
Participated by males from the 11 municipalities, Baguilat said that RH helps in saving the lives of mothers and children. We are optimistic that the males can are good advocates of health programs for the total welfare of the individual and the family, he said.
With the theme ‘Fathers and Families: Challenges and Responsibilities’, Baguilat said that as parents, we should helps instill good values to the children so that they will grow up to be good citizens in the community. “They will be good husbands and wives and productive citizens,” the governor added.
Meanwhile, Lawyer Eugene Balitang, the guest speaker during the said occasion said that the best meaning of the word father can be taken from a child’s point of view. Fathers should find time, give love and attention to our children,” he said. **Vency D. Bulayungan/PIA-Ifugao
