LAGAWE, Ifugao - In order to raise the level of livelihood and improve the capability in business for the working group, the Department of Labor and Employment here conducted recently an advocacy orientation and workshop on business plan preparation.
Dubbed as Workers Income Augmentation Program in the Information Sector (WINAP/IS), Joseph Tuguinay, Labor Employment Officer III said the activity helps the participants to become productive, competitive self-employed workers.
Participated by 92 workers, the orientation workshop was conducted in cooperation with the local government unit here which acts as a conduit in the implementation of the said program.
Tuguinay said that the participants were informed of the dual role as workers and entrepreneur and were taught how to come up with their own business plan.
He also said that there is a limited network partners involved in the said program which is outside DOLE/LGU partnership for convergence. “Our office and the LGU will invite other stakeholders,” He added there is a need to validate WINAP/IS beneficiaries in order to confirm their qualification and selection. **Vency D.
