BANGUED, Abra - The Bangued Municipal Police Station has deployed maximum police personnel in the three cemeteries to tighten the security preparations for All Saints Day.
Chief of Police Maj. Joseph Paolo Bayongasan, Chief of Police organized and activated "Task Force Kaluluwa" to coordinate and supervise the security operations, traffic control and other contingency measures particularly on intelligence build-up in collaboration with the local government unit of Bangued to ensure peace and order during the celebrations.
In an interview with Deputy COP Jaime R. Nadela, he said, they have already coordinated with various agencies in Bangued particularly the Traffic Enforcers, the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Rural Health Unit, the Bantay Bayan of the contiguous barangays within the vicinity of the three cemeteries, and the Health Department for public assistance.
Nadela gave his assurance that they have already detailed police personnel and traffic enforcers who would man the parking lots and the exits and entrances of the cemeteries to facilitate the flow of traffic.
To address the fears of the general public of possible incidence of criminality in this capital town, it being the melting pot of the province and in consideration of the high volume of crime incidence in the past, police personnel are also tasked to conduct tighter patrol in and out of the cemeteries.
Rerouting of traffic is likewise established to ensure smooth flow of vehicular mobility and to prevent untoward incidents on November 1. The grounds of the Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology - Bangued Campus as well as the track and field oval are requested to be used as exits for the vehicles coming from the cemetery in Barangays Zone 3 and Bangbangar respectively.
