BANGUED, Abra - Governor Eustaquio "Takit" P. Bersamin is again sponsoring another mobile passporting in the province on October 18 at the Governors' Gallery of the Provincial Capitol.
The official photographers of the Department of Foreign Affairs already came to Abra last month for the picture taking of the applicants for passporting per request of the Abreños to ensure that only appropriate photos be taken and additional and unnecessary expenses be avoided as what happened during the conduct of the first mobile passporting project last April.
They will be coming again on October 18 to accommodate those who are still interested to avail of the services.
The DFA will entertain walk-in clients still on October 18 provided the applicants have complete documentary requirements.
The requirements include the following: birth certificate in security Paper (SecPa) authenticated by the National Statistics Office (NSO) and a copy from the local civil registrar (LCR), also authenticated by the NSO, passport size ID picture, clearance from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), photo copies of valid Identification Cards (original copies of ID cards to be presented during the personal appearance of the applicant), and a processing fee of P750.00.
The second mobile passporting project of the provincial government of Abra is still an outreach project of the Divine Word College of Bangued Alumni Association Batch '82 where Consul Officer Edgar Badajos , is a member.
For more information, Mr. Elmer Bersamin can be contacted at the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development (PSWDO). Or any of the members of the DWCB Batch '82 who can be reached through telephone number (074) 752-8477 or cell phone number 09062316720.
As a former migrant worker himself in the United States of America, Governor Takit deeply feels the plight of the Abreños who are interested to seek greener pastures in foreign lands. He recognizes that the country has very limited opportunities to offer to our people, and so he is all-out to support this mobile passporting project of the DWCB Batch '82. **Maritess Beñas/PIA-Abra
